As a Civil Marriage Celebrant, I also perform Naming Ceremonies in Brisbane and the greater Brisbane area and have received excellent feedback from clients regarding my services.  The following comment was recently received, “Thank you Rob (Moscoso) for performing such a delightful Naming Ceremony for my son.  Everyone was impressed with your personal approach and the overall ceremony.”

Naming ceremonies are delightful celebrations. They provide the perfect occasion for parents to express their joy for the birth of an amazing new life and pledge their love and commitment to the care of the new arrival. At a naming ceremony parents officially present their child to family and friends and celebrate with them in a relaxed and informal manner and setting.

A naming ceremony is also a memorable way for parents to welcome stepchildren or adopted children into their new or extended family as loved and valued individuals with the same rights as other family members.

I have many appropriate resources and would love to help you plan a personal and meaningful ceremony to celebrate the new arrival in your family.  We will ensure relevant cultural and family traditions are included. Besides special introductions, readings and vows of commitment, you may further personalise your ceremony by including a symbolic feature such as tree planting, candle lighting, balloon release, wish cards or scattering of rose petals.  These features are excellent opportunities for everyone present to feel involved and offer their love and ongoing support for your child.

Family and friends can be asked to participate in the ceremony by presenting readings and music. Special people such as grandparents and mentors who will play important roles in the child’s future can be invited to acknowledge their life long commitments to sharing in the care and guidance of the child.

As a memento, a certificate and booklet of the naming ceremony will be presented to the parents at the conclusion of the ceremony.
